A common misconception is that the study of Questioned Documents otherwise known a Document Analysis is more than just the study of handwriting.  It looks closely at letter and word spacing, linguistics, grammar, spelling,  slant, style, pen pressure, ink and paper type.  It is the job of the analyst to study the document as a whole, examining all of the components to determine whether or not a conclusive match can be made.
