The Forensic Photographer is an essential member of the Crime Scene Unit.  He/She is responsible for recording the crime scene, preserving its original state and for photographing any evidence found at the scene.  Evidence can include fingerprints, weapons, trace evidence and bodies.  A proper understanding of basic photography and forensic techniques are essential.  This site will provide you with basic information about forensic photography.
