On Saturday, March 12, Champs Boxing Club hosted a Boxing Show at the Mascaro location of the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle. The evening featured a long lineup of boxers, with two New Rochelle High School students among the competitors, junior Ari Robinson and senior Melvin Martinez.
Robinson fought a tough opponent, showed his grit, but unfortunately, the final decision didn’t go his way. He put up a good fight, and we are proud of his efforts! This was his sixth time competing and he continues to show growth. Robinson is currently preparing for the Ringmaster Tournament, also known as the Golden Gloves.
New Rochelle High School senior Melvin Martinez was featured as the main event, and also fought a tough opponent. He reigned victorious and was named the champion of the evening! We congratulate Martinez on this major achievement!
