The New Rochelle High School Huguenot Pioneers’ Special Olympics basketball team recently competed in its first game since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020 – and it was an exciting night for players and fans. Alyssa Padilla, second photo, scored a game-high 14 points in the victory over Mamaroneck. The win was a combined effort of all players. William Monzon, Christopher Conte, and Salvador Corona provided huge contributions with their skillful passing and dribbling. The team’s next game is Tuesday, March 29, at White Plains High School at 4 p.m. Come offer your support!
